Wastewater Reuse

WATER SOLUTIONS

WATER REUSE,
ENGINEERED
FOR VALUE.

Wastewater reuse is a core element of SYCHEM’s integrated approach to water management, transforming treated wastewater into a valuable resource for irrigation, urban and suburban applications, aquifer recharge, and industrial use.

Through advanced membrane technologies, including ultrafiltration, MBR systems, and reverse osmosis, SYCHEM enhances wastewater treatment processes to produce high-quality water that meets strict reuse standards.

SYCHEM’s solutions support circular water management, reduce pressure on freshwater resources, and improve the overall efficiency of treatment plants. From municipal and hotel wastewater to industrial effluents and landfill leachate, the company develops reliable, automated systems that enable safe reuse, reduce environmental impact, and deliver long-term operational value.

PERFORMANCE
AT A GLANCE.

SYCHEM wastewater reuse systems are designed to cover all key treatment stages, including pretreatment, biological treatment, tertiary treatment, and final polishing, depending on the required water quality and reuse application.

During pretreatment, solids, oil, grease, and grit are removed to protect downstream equipment and ensure stable biological operation. In the secondary biological treatment stage, wastewater is treated under aerobic, anoxic, and anaerobic conditions, enabling the effective removal of nitrogen and phosphorus.

For tertiary treatment and water reuse, SYCHEM applies advanced membrane technologies, including:

  • MBR systems for efficient biological treatment and solid-liquid separation.
  • Ultrafiltration – UF membranes for upgrading existing biological treatment plants.
  • Reverse osmosis – RO systems for demanding applications, including landfill leachate treatment.
  • Automated control systems for reliable monitoring, operation, and process optimization.
  • Integrated solutions for municipal wastewater, hotel wastewater, industrial effluents, liquid digestate, and landfill leachate.

SYCHEM’s MBR-UF systems produce high-quality effluent suitable for restricted irrigation, urban and suburban uses, and aquifer recharge.

In industrial wastewater applications with high pollutant loads, these systems can achieve organic pollutant removal of more than 95%, with typical treated effluent values such as:
TSS < 5 ppm
TN < 40 ppm

For landfill leachate treatment, where wastewater may contain high organic load, heavy metals, non-biodegradable COD, and high ammonium concentrations, SYCHEM applies reverse osmosis as a final treatment stage. The produced permeate meets the required standards for reuse in irrigation and other non-potable applications

Through the combination of biological treatment, membrane filtration, reverse osmosis, and automation, SYCHEM delivers wastewater reuse systems that support environmental compliance, resource efficiency, and long-term operational value.
