BIOGAS SOLUTIONS

CIRCULAR VALUE
FROM BIOGAS
RESIDUES.

SYCHEM extends its biogas expertise into biofertilizer production through the valorization of digestate, transforming organic waste treatment by-products into high-value agricultural inputs. Through Bioenergy Crete, the Group has developed BIOSFER, an innovative, high-quality biofertilizer produced from the biological treatment of digestate generated by the company’s biogas plant.

Produced within a circular economy model, BIOSFER converts organic residues and animal by-products into valuable fertilizer products, available in liquid, solid, and pellet form. Rich in amino acids and combining essential nutrients and mineral elements, it supports strong performance across a wide range of agricultural applications, while completing SYCHEM’s integrated biogas model, from organic waste management and anaerobic digestion to energy production, digestate treatment, and agricultural value creation.

BIOSFER
IN DETAIL.

BIOSFER L is the liquid formulation of the BIOSFER product range, developed for fertigation and foliar application where uniform distribution and rapid crop uptake are required. It is a pasteurized, non-toxic organic soil conditioner, naturally enriched with amino acids, organic matter, humic and fulvic acids.

Its indicative physicochemical profile includes 1.1% w/w total nitrogen, 2.6% w/w total organic carbon, 0.6% w/w calcium, 0.10% w/w phosphorus, 0.17% w/w potassium, 510 mg/kg zinc, 230 mg/kg magnesium, 5.70 mg/kg boron, 370 mg/kg iron, 17.6 g/L amino acids, 4.6% w/w organic matter and 3.0% w/w humic and fulvic acids, with a pH range of 8.0–8.9. The liquid form is suitable for olive trees, citrus and fruit trees, avocado, vineyards, potato, kiwi, vegetables, cucurbits and strawberries, with application rates adjusted according to soil characteristics, crop requirements and climatic conditions.

BIOSFER S is the solid formulation of the BIOSFER range, designed for direct soil application in tree crops, vineyards, field crops, vegetables, strawberries and ornamental plants. It is a natural organic soil conditioner, enriched with amino acids, organic matter, humic and fulvic acids, and produced without chemical additives.

Its indicative composition includes 1.6% w/w total nitrogen, 10.4% w/w total organic carbon, 1.2% w/w calcium, 0.3% w/w phosphorus, 0.17% w/w potassium, 630 mg/kg zinc, 840 mg/kg magnesium, 350 mg/kg boron, 3,180 mg/kg iron, 8.5% w/w humic and fulvic acids and 49% w/w organic matter, with pH 8.5. BIOSFER S is now also available in pellet form, improving handling, storage, dosing accuracy and mechanical field application, particularly in larger-scale agricultural use.
