Sustainability and ESG are central to SYCHEM’s identity and operations. Through its focus on the Water & Energy Nexus, the company designs projects that reduce energy consumption, improve water efficiency, and lower environmental impact across the full lifecycle of each system.

SYCHEM’s ESG approach is built around the use of technology, engineering expertise and responsible business practices to address environmental, social and governance priorities in a meaningful and measurable way. By doing so, the company aims to generate long-term value and contribute to a more sustainable, inclusive, and resilient future

This direction is aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and the 2030 Agenda. SDGs 6-Clean Water and Sanitation, 7-Affordable and Clean Energy and 9-Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, and are closely connected to SYCHEM’s business model and the sectors in which the company operates.

SYCHEM invests in energy-efficient desalination, innovative biogas facilities, and initiatives that promote environmental awareness, such as the Almyros desalination environmental park.

At the same time, the company supports educational and youth-oriented initiatives, including student robotics programs, encouraging innovation, technical skills and engagement with future technologies.
