Biogas Plant Operations Supervisor
Job brief
SYCHEM Group is looking for a Biogas Plant Operations Supervisor for the Group’s biogas plant in Megara, Attica.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall supervision and technical operation of the biogas production plant. The role includes equipment management, personnel coordination, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, and monitoring energy performance, with the aim of ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the facility.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and control the operation of electromechanical equipment and biochemical processes.
- Organize preventive and corrective maintenance activities for the plant’s equipment.
- Monitor operating parameters and record operational data.
- Organize the supply of the plant with organic waste and raw materials.
- Ensure environmental compliance.
- Diagnose and resolve faults and technical issues, and manage emergency situations.
- Coordinate and train plant personnel.
Requirements
- Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related engineering field from a University or Technological Educational Institute.
- Minimum 2–3 years of professional experience in similar facilities and/or industrial plants.
- Familiarity with technical manuals and engineering drawings.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
- Excellent command of English.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Team-oriented mindset, strong organizational skills, and a high sense of responsibility.
