Cathodic Protection Technician / Electrical Installer
Job brief
SYCHEM Group is looking for a Cathodic Protection Technician / Electrical Installer to support its technical support and cathodic protection projects in Greece and abroad.
The successful candidate will be based in Agia Paraskevi, Athens, and will carry out field work related to the installation, inspection, measurement, testing, and maintenance of cathodic protection systems, as well as electrical installation works on project sites. The role reports to the Cathodic Protection Director and the Maintenance Supervisor.
Based in Agia Paraskevi, Athens, with field work in Greece and abroad.
Responsibilities
- Install cathodic protection materials and equipment.
- Perform field measurements, inspections, and collect cathodic protection performance data according to written instructions and procedures.
- Understand the basic principles of the measurements performed.
- Check the calibration validity of measuring and testing equipment.
- Supervise and carry out inspections and tests during the installation of cathodic protection systems.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on cathodic protection systems.
- Carry out electrical installations on project sites.
- Connect and wire industrial control panels.
- Install and connect motors, sensors, and automation systems.
- Read and apply electrical drawings.
- Follow safety instructions and collaborate with engineers and technical teams.
- Participate in large-scale technical projects.
Requirements
- Knowledge of the basic principles of electricity, corrosion, coatings, cathodic protection, measurement techniques, safety issues, and applicable standards related to cathodic protection.
- Previous experience in construction sites and industrial projects.
- Technical understanding and responsible attitude.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Good command of English.
- Availability to travel in Greece and abroad.
