Demineralization

WATER SOLUTIONS

SAFEGUARDING
CRITICAL INDUSTRIAL
EQUIPMENT.

SYCHEM designs and delivers demineralization systems for applications where water quality directly affects equipment efficiency, process stability, and operational safety.

Using technologies such as ion exchange resins, double-pass reverse osmosis, and continuous electrodeionization, the company produces demineralized and high-purity water for demanding industrial uses, including energy and process applications.

Its experience includes containerized water treatment systems combining double-pass RO and CEDI technology for the supply of high-purity deionized water to gas turbine operations. From stand-alone deionization units to integrated post-treatment stages, SYCHEM develops solutions tailored to the required water specification, helping protect critical equipment, reduce scaling and corrosion risks, and ensure consistent process performance.

PERFORMANCE
AT A GLANCE.

SYCHEM seawater desalination systems are designed to treat feed water with TDS levels from 6,000 to 43,000 mg/L, producing potable water with a maximum TDS concentration of 500 mg/L.

Through advanced engineering and innovative design, SYCHEM has developed third-generation seawater reverse osmosis systems under the SYRO SW series. By integrating high-efficiency pressure exchanger technology, these units significantly reduce energy consumption and production costs, achieving energy requirements of up to 3.0 kWh/m³ of produced water.

All SYRO SW Units Include:

  • Touch screen interface for monitoring, operation, and adjustment of critical parameters.
  • 316L stainless steel frame with corrosion protection coating and adjustable base.
  • High-pressure piping made from seawater-grade stainless steel, including 904L, duplex, or super duplex.
  • Easy high-pressure network disassembly without special tools for simplified maintenance.
  • High-performance membranes from DOW, FilmTec or Hydranautics USA.
  • Membrane pressure vessels designed for easy maintenance and replacement.
  • Integrated chemical cleaning system with PLC-based automated control.
  • PLC electrical control panel with digital touch screen and graphic supervision environment.
  • Digital measuring instruments fully connected to the PLC and displayed on the touch screen.
  • Full automation, including critical alarms, tank level switch connection, auxiliary pump control, and post-treatment integration.
  • Operation & Maintenance Manual with equipment coding and permanent marking.

This design ensures efficient operation, reliable performance, simplified maintenance, and consistently high-quality potable water production under demanding seawater conditions.
