Electrician-Technical Support
Job brief
SYCHEM S.A. is looking for an Electrician to join its Technical Support team in Agia Paraskevi, Attica.
The successful candidate will participate in the technical support, maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repair of electrical panels, automation systems, measuring instruments, and related equipment used in water treatment and industrial installations.
The role includes technical interventions at customer sites and requires availability for business travel and assignments outside Attica.
This position is suitable for candidates with practical experience in electrical systems and industrial automation, good technical understanding, and an interest in developing their skills in technical support, maintenance, and field service.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose faults in electrical panels and automation systems.
- Maintain and repair power and control panels.
- Check the proper operation of electrical equipment and automation systems.
- Configure and support measuring instruments, including conductivity, pH, and pressure sensors.
- Read and use electrical drawings for troubleshooting and technical interventions.
- Support maintenance and repair works at customer installations.
- Cooperate with the Technical Support, Engineering, and other company teams.
- Support PLC, SCADA, and control systems, where required.
- Follow health, safety, quality, and workplace organization rules.
- Participate in business trips and technical assignments within Greece, according to project needs.
Requirements
- Degree or diploma in Electrical studies from TEI, IEK, EPAL, or an equivalent technical school.
- Experience with electrical panels and industrial automation systems.
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings.
- Good technical understanding and troubleshooting skills.
- Responsibility, consistency, and attention to safety and quality.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a technical team and communicate with customers.
- Category B driving licence.
- Good knowledge of English, mainly for reading technical manuals and documentation.
- Availability for business travel and assignments outside Attica is required.
- Knowledge of PLC and SCADA systems will be considered an advantage.
- Experience in water treatment or other industrial installations will be considered an advantage.
- Previous experience in field technical support, after-sales service, maintenance, or fault repair will be considered an advantage.
- Familiarity with measuring instruments, sensors, and control systems will be considered an advantage.
