Biogas Plant Support Engineer
Job brief
SYCHEM Group is looking for a Biogas Plant Support Engineer to support the operation of the Group’s biogas plant in Megara, Attica.
The successful candidate will assist in the daily operation of the plant, support the resolution of technical issues under the guidance of the Plant Operations Manager, and contribute to the coordination of maintenance activities, contractors, and project reporting.
Responsibilities
- Support the daily operation of the biogas plant.
- Assist in resolving technical issues under the guidance of the Plant Operations Manager.
- Communicate with external partners and contractors regarding technical matters.
- Monitor the maintenance schedule of the plant’s electromechanical equipment.
- Participate in project team meetings and prepare project reports.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering field from a University or Technological Educational Institute.
- Excellent command of Greek and English.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Strong planning skills and sense of urgency.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to take initiative.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to manage and resolve both simple and complex issues, with well-structured reasoning and argumentation.
- Methodical, responsible, and team-oriented approach.
- Ability to meet schedules and deadlines.
- Completed military obligations, where applicable.
- Postgraduate degree in an environmental field, preferably related to Renewable Energy Sources, will be considered an advantage.
- Previous experience in Renewable Energy project management, such as biogas, biomethane, or photovoltaic projects, will be considered an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD design software will be considered an advantage.
