Desalination Plant Site Supervisor / Technical Operator
Job brief
SYCHEM Cyprus Ltd is looking for a Desalination Plant Site Supervisor and Technical Operators to support the operation of its desalination plants in Cyprus.
The successful candidates will be involved in the continuous operation, monitoring, and maintenance of desalination plants, ensuring the smooth, safe, and efficient performance of the facilities. The Site Supervisor will be responsible for technical supervision, daily operational coordination, and guidance of the operator team, while the Technical Operators will monitor the production process, inspect equipment, and support the proper operation of the plant.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and adjust desalination systems.
- Carry out repairs on valves, pumps, piping, and other mechanical components.
- Support plumbing and basic electrical works.
- Inspect equipment and identify wear, faults, or malfunctions.
- Use hand tools for daily maintenance tasks.
- Report technical issues to the Plant Supervisor.
- Follow operating schedules within a shift-based work system, including morning and afternoon shifts.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a technician, maintenance technician, craftsman, or plumber, preferably in hotel units or industrial facilities.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, mechanical, and electrical systems.
- Practical, hands-on technical approach.
- Ability to identify and resolve simple technical issues.
- Consistency, professionalism, and ability to work under demanding field conditions.
- Previous experience in desalination plants will be considered an advantage.
