Maintenance Technician

Job brief

SYCHEM Cyprus Ltd is looking for Maintenance Technicians to support its desalination plants in Episkopi, Paphos, and Limassol.

The successful candidates will be based at the company’s headquarters in Limassol, with regular travel to the company’s desalination plants across Cyprus. The role involves carrying out scheduled and emergency maintenance works on the mechanical and electrical equipment of the plants, ensuring maximum availability, reliability, and performance of the facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on pumps, piping systems, and water treatment equipment.
  • Diagnose faults and promptly resolve technical issues in the field.
  • Collaborate with Plant Managers to optimize maintenance schedules.
  • Support the smooth and safe operation of desalination plant equipment.
  • Follow Health and Safety rules and company procedures during all maintenance activities.

Requirements

  • Technical background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, from a University, Technological Educational Institute, Vocational Training Institute, or other relevant technical school.
  • Experience in the maintenance of industrial facilities or large building installations.
  • Knowledge of electrical maintenance, mechanical maintenance, MEP systems, and maintenance and repair procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Availability for frequent travel within Cyprus.
  • Professional responsibility and strong commitment to Health and Safety rules.
  • Relevant work experience in desalination plants will be considered an advantage.
