Manufacturing Assistant

Job brief

SYCHEM S.A. is looking for a Manufacturing Assistant to join its Production Unit in the Heraklion Industrial Area, Crete.
The successful candidate will participate in workshop and metal construction activities, supporting metal preparation, cutting, grinding, finishing, painting, assembly, and other production-related technical tasks.
This position is suitable for candidates who are hardworking, eager to learn, and interested in developing their technical skills in a workshop, metal construction, and production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in workshop and metal construction activities.
  • Support metal preparation tasks.
  • Cut pipes and hollow sections using a band saw.
  • Carry out grinding works and prepare edges for welding.
  • Support shaping tasks using workshop equipment.
  • Support finishing and painting of metal surfaces or structures.
  • Assist in the assembly of metal constructions.
  • Support large-scale metal construction works.
  • Support welding-related tasks, where required and under guidance.
  • Follow health, safety, quality, and workplace organization rules.
  • Cooperate with the Production Manager and other members of the team.

  • Experience in cutting, grinding, finishing, painting, or assembling metal structures will be considered an advantage.
  • Familiarity with workshop or production tools will be considered an advantage.
  • Availability for business travel, where required, will be considered an advantage.
