Mechanical Technician – Technical Support
Job brief
SYCHEM S.A. is looking for a Mechanical Technician to join its Technical Support team in Agia Paraskevi, Attica.
The successful candidate will participate in the technical support, maintenance, and troubleshooting of water treatment systems, pumping units, piping networks, and hydraulic circuits.
The role requires practical experience in mechanical installations, fluid networks, pumps, and technical systems, as well as availability for business travel and technical assignments at projects and installations outside Attica.
Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical maintenance on high- and low-pressure pumps.
- Maintain and inspect piping networks.
- Replace consumables and components, including reverse osmosis membranes, filters, and valves.
- Check for leaks and ensure the proper operation of hydraulic circuits.
- Adjust flow rates and pressures to optimize system performance.
- Read and use mechanical drawings and P&ID diagrams.
- Support maintenance and technical interventions at customer installations.
- Cooperate with the Technical Support, Engineering, and other relevant company teams.
- Follow health, safety, and quality rules during the execution of work.
- Participate in business trips and technical assignments within Greece, according to project needs.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a former TEI, or diploma as a Mechanical Installations Technician from IEK, EPAL, or an equivalent technical school.
- Experience with fluid networks, pumping units, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and P&ID diagrams.
- Good technical understanding and troubleshooting skills.
- Responsibility, consistency, and attention to safety and quality.
- Ability to work effectively with technical teams and communicate with customers.
- Category B driving licence.
- Good knowledge of English, mainly for reading technical manuals and documentation.
- Availability for business travel and assignments outside Attica is required.
Desired qualifications
- Knowledge of water treatment and filtration systems.
- Experience in water treatment, desalination, or reverse osmosis installations.
- Previous experience in field technical support or after-sales service.
- Familiarity with pumps, valves, filters, membranes, and hydraulic circuits.
- Experience in maintenance and troubleshooting in an industrial or technical environment.
