In Angola, a large-scale cathodic protection system was designed and implemented for a tank farm serving SONANGOL. The scope included engineering, material supply, installation, and commissioning of corrosion protection systems for above-ground oil tanks, service tanks, and bullet vessels. The solution combines MMO ribbon anode grids for above-ground tank protection and MMO deep well ground beds for vessel protection, ensuring long-term asset integrity and reliable operation. Designed in 2022 and constructed between 2023 and 2024, the system was engineered for a 30-year design life, covering 29 above-ground oil tanks, 9 new above-ground service tanks, and 29 bullet vessels.
