Project in Detail

Santorini-Agia Paraskevi Desalination Plant

At Agia Paraskevi on Santorini Island, Greece, a UF–SWRO desalination plant was developed to produce high-quality potable water and support the island’s water supply needs. With a total capacity of 10,000 m³/day, the facility stands as the largest seawater desalination plant for potable water in Greece. The system combines ultrafiltration pre-treatment with seawater reverse osmosis technology, ensuring reliable performance under demanding island operating conditions. Delivered for J/V PROTEUS S.A. – ERMON S.A., the project was implemented in two phases: the first 5,000 m³/day phase was installed in 2019, followed by the second 5,000 m³/day phase completed between 2022 and 2024.
