The Castle Residences at Limassol Marina in Cyprus is a premium residential development where an advanced seawater de-centralized geo-exchange system was designed and implemented to serve the building’s heating and cooling needs. The project, developed for Cybarco – Lanitis Group and designed by Modinos-Vrahimis Architects, includes 61 apartments with a total built-up area of 9,850 m². The system is based on separate water source heat pumps for each apartment, connected to a common geo-exchange piping network, ensuring efficient and flexible energy distribution throughout the building. With 1,120 kW of cooling capacity, 630 kW of heating capacity, and a 36 m maximum elevation variation for building services, the project represents a high-performance MEP solution for luxury residential developments. The scope included both the international MEP design and contracting of the seawater de-centralized geo-exchange system.
